There's no need to worry about looking frozen or overdone, as Nurse Kelly is renowned in Cheltenham for providing botox treatments that give a natural appearance.

Botox can also be used to treat the following:

How does Botox work?

Botox works in the face by reducing muscle movement that causes facial lines during expression. Whilst it's commonly known as Botox, this is actually a brand name for Botulinum Toxin Type A. This is a neurotoxin that prevents the release of acetylcholine into the neuromuscular junction. This prevents the transmission of messages from the nerves to the muscles to create movement. Whilst in the last few decades it's widely known for it's use in cosmetic medicine, it has been used for medical reasons since 1978 to treat conditions such as Migraines, Hyperhidrosis, and muscular contractions in patients with movement disorders such as stroke and cerebral palsy.

How long does Botox last?

Typically, treatment will last around 3-5 months. However, this can vary from one individual to the next due to lifestyle factors and patient anatomy.
